Impact & success stories

Transformation is not an idea. It is something you can see.

Every graduation, job secured, relationship restored, and person who remains home represents courage supported by structure, accountability, and community.

More than completion

Graduation represents what happened before the certificate.

Participants confront trauma, practice accountability, build emotional and interpersonal skills, and prepare for the responsibilities waiting beyond the classroom. The ceremony matters because the work behind it matters.

What progress looks like

One outcome is never the whole story.

Remaining home

Reducing the likelihood of returning to incarceration by strengthening the person and the conditions around them.

Securing employment

Building readiness, confidence, professional habits, and connections to employers who believe in second chances.

Healing relationships

Developing self-awareness, emotional regulation, communication, responsibility, and healthier support networks.

Completing the work

Recognizing disciplined participation while reinforcing the next stage of growth, stability, and leadership.

In a graduate’s own words

“SCRIP has been a safe place for me to start healing and grow.”

SCRIP helped me attain employment and gave me the opportunity to show my worth as an employee—knowing I was receiving a second chance to prove to myself that I can do this.

Graduate voices

Hear transformation from the people who lived it.

ASCEND graduates share what the program, the work, and the opportunity for a genuine second chance have meant in their lives.

Service beyond the classroom

Impact also means showing up for families.

SCRIP’s clothing and coat drives turn community support into immediate, practical care—helping neighbors meet essential needs with dignity.

Impact through partnership

SCRIP’s results are built with people who refuse to give up on people.

Correctional agencies, behavioral health professionals, employers, funders, educators, mentors, and community organizations each strengthen the path from healing to home.
